Plans and billing

FreePaid plans

Start a trial, change plans, find invoices, and understand what happens to your Workspaces if you downgrade or cancel.

A plan belongs to an organization, and the only thing that differs between paid plans is how many Workspaces the organization can keep active. This page covers the mechanics: starting a trial, changing plans, finding invoices, and what happens to Workspaces when a plan gets smaller.

Before you start#

Billing lives in the dashboard, under Organization settings → Billing & Plan.

Only the organization owner can make billing changes. Other administrators can open the same page and read the plan and usage, but see a notice naming the owner instead of the buttons. If you are not sure who owns the organization, that notice tells you.

A Personal Workspace has no organization behind it and nothing to bill — it always has Free features. Subscribing creates or uses an organization.

The plans#

Plan Price Workspaces
Free $0 1
Pro $9 / Workspace / month, or $90 / Workspace / year As many as you subscribe for

Pro is priced per Workspace: you subscribe for the number of Workspace slots your teams need — starting from one, with no minimum — and every one of them carries the full paid feature set: historical insights and team trends, Jira, Linear and GitHub integrations, Slack and Microsoft Teams notifications, password / required sign-in / email-domain access controls, session history, and priority support. Each Workspace includes one Planning Room and one Retro Room.

Start a paid plan#

  1. Open the dashboard and go to Organization settings → Billing & Plan.
  2. Choose Monthly or Annual. Annual is ten times the monthly price, so two months are free.
  3. Pick how many Workspaces to subscribe for and select Start free trial. You are handed to Stripe's hosted checkout page, where you can still adjust the Workspace count before paying.
  4. Complete checkout. You come back to Billing & Plan, which shows an activation notice while the subscription takes effect — usually moments.

If you do not own an organization yet, checkout mints one for you and offers to bring your existing Personal Workspaces into it.

How the 14-day trial works#

Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required at checkout but is not charged until the trial ends, and the Billing & Plan page shows the exact date it ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.

You get one trial, ever — it is tied to you as the buyer, not to a particular organization, so minting a second organization does not earn a second trial. During the trial you have the full plan. Changing your Workspace count mid-trial takes effect immediately, charges nothing, and leaves the trial clock alone.

If the trial ends without a chargeable card, the organization returns to Free and the quota rules below apply.

Change your subscription#

On Billing & Plan, set the Workspace count and interval you want and select Update subscription. You are shown exactly what will happen before you confirm:

  • A change that costs money today — more Workspaces, or monthly to annual — applies immediately, with the prorated difference charged for the rest of the billing period. The larger Workspace quota is available right away.
  • A change that does not — fewer Workspaces, or annual to monthly — is scheduled for your next renewal. You keep your current quota and price until then.

A scheduled change shows as a banner with the date. Select Keep my current subscription in that banner to call it off.

Invoices, payment method and cancelling#

On a paid plan, the current plan card shows Manage billing. It opens the Stripe Billing Portal, where you can update the payment method, view and download past invoices and receipts, and cancel the subscription. SprintBee's own servers never see your card number.

Cancelling is done there, in the portal — there is no separate cancel button in the dashboard.

If you go over your Workspace quota#

Reducing your Workspace count or cancelling can leave an organization with more active Workspaces than its subscription covers. Nothing is touched immediately. Instead, SprintBee opens a 7-day grace period and emails the organization's owner and admins once, so you can decide which Workspaces to keep.

Archive the ones you do not need from the dashboard. Going back under quota — by archiving, or by re-upgrading — closes the grace period on the spot.

If you are still over the limit when the 7 days run out, SprintBee archives the least recently active Workspaces automatically, only as many as it takes to reach the quota. Archiving is not deletion: the Workspace keeps its rooms, queues, session history and settings, and no new sessions can start in it until it is restored. Restore it from the dashboard once the organization has room in its quota again.
