Terms of Service
Effective date: July 4, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SprintBee, a planning poker service for agile teams. By creating an account, joining a room, or otherwise using SprintBee, you agree to these Terms. If you are using SprintBee on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing on behalf of that organization and confirming that you have the authority to do so.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information and is part of these Terms.
Accounts
SprintBee uses passwordless email sign-in: we send a one-time code to your email address instead of storing a password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since anyone who can receive your sign-in code can access your SprintBee account.
Organization accounts may have multiple members with different roles, such as admin or member. Admins can manage Workspaces, room settings, members, and billing for the organization. You are responsible for the activity of people you invite into your organization, Workspaces, or rooms.
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these Terms.
Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
SprintBee offers a Free plan and paid subscriptions:
- The Free plan includes one active Workspace, with one Planning Room and one Retro Room, at no cost.
- Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or annually at the rates shown on our pricing page, and differ in how many persistent Workspaces they include. Each Workspace includes one Planning Room and one Retro Room. Paid plans may begin with a free trial; the payment method on file is charged when the trial ends unless the subscription is cancelled first.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selection) through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but takes effect at the end of your current billing period — we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
We may change our prices from time to time. If we do, we will give you advance notice before the change takes effect for your account, and continuing to use a paid plan after that date means you accept the new price.
Your Content
"Your Content" means the information you and your team put into SprintBee, including estimates, retro notes, Improvement Actions, work item titles and descriptions, Workspace, room, and session data, and any work items imported from a connected tool such as Jira. You own Your Content.
You grant SprintBee a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service to you. We do not use Your Content to train third-party models or sell it to third parties.
You are responsible for making sure Your Content, and your use of SprintBee, does not violate any law or infringe anyone else's rights.
Acceptable Use
When using SprintBee, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to store or transmit unlawful content.
- Attempt to access rooms, accounts, or data that you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent the security of SprintBee.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service without our written permission.
- Abuse, harass, or harm other users of the service.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section.
Third-Party Integrations
SprintBee can connect to third-party tools, such as Jira, at your direction. When you authorize a personal connection, or an administrator installs and pairs an app connection for your organization, you are granting SprintBee permission to access and exchange data with that third-party service in accordance with the permissions approved for that connection. Your use of any connected third-party service is also governed by that provider's own terms — for example, Atlassian's terms apply to your use of Jira. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not operate.
Service Availability
We work to keep SprintBee available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, make changes, or experience outages from time to time. You can check current status at status.sprintbee.net.
Disclaimer of Warranties
SprintBee is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SprintBee will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to SprintBee will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may stop using SprintBee and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to SprintBee if you materially breach these Terms and do not correct the breach after we notify you, or immediately if needed to protect the security or integrity of the service.
Upon termination, your right to use SprintBee ends. We may delete Your Content after a reasonable period, consistent with our data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide reasonable notice, such as an in-app notice or email. Continued use of SprintBee after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
