Pricing & billing
SprintBee has two plans: Free and Pro. This page covers what each includes, how to upgrade, how Add-on Rooms work, and what happens to your rooms if you downgrade or cancel.

Free vs. Pro
Free is $0, no credit card required, and includes one active planning room with unlimited teammates in it, custom estimate decks and voting settings, and completed-item history with CSV export.
Pro is $19/month (or $189/year) and includes everything in Free plus 3 persistent rooms (with Add-on Rooms available beyond that), async estimation, Jira and work-item integrations, and the password / required-login / email-domain security controls. Pro also gets priority support.

Add-on Rooms
An Add-on Room adds one room to a Pro account's Room Quota (the included 3, plus however many Add-on Rooms you've purchased) for $5/month each, billed on the same interval as your Pro subscription. Add-on Rooms require an active Pro subscription — they're not available on Free.
Buy or release Add-on Rooms from Dashboard → Billing, in the "Add-on Rooms" row (only shown once you're on Pro). Purchasing shows a confirmation with the exact prorated amount you'll be charged today before it goes through. Releasing lowers your Room Quota by one immediately, with a prorated credit for the unused time; it doesn't archive any room by itself — if the lower quota leaves you with more active rooms than you're allowed, the normal over-quota grace period and archival flow (described below) applies.
- Open Dashboard → Billing.
- In "Add-on Rooms," click the + button to purchase, or the − button to release one.
- Review the prorated charge shown in the confirmation dialog and confirm.
Upgrading to Pro
From Dashboard → Billing, choose Monthly or Annual, then click "Upgrade to Pro." This redirects you to a Stripe-hosted Checkout page; completing it returns you to the Billing tab, which shows a "your Pro subscription is being activated" notice while it takes effect (usually within moments).
- Open Dashboard → Billing.
- Pick Monthly or Annual billing.
- Click "Upgrade to Pro" and complete Stripe Checkout.
- You're returned to Billing once the subscription is active.
Managing payment & invoices
Once you're on Pro, the same button becomes "Manage billing," which opens the Stripe Billing Portal — a Stripe-hosted page where you can update your payment method, view and download past invoices, and change your plan or billing interval. SprintBee's own servers never see your card number.
- Open Dashboard → Billing.
- Click "Manage billing."
- Update payment details or view invoices in the Stripe portal, then return to SprintBee.
Downgrading, canceling, and rooms over the limit
Canceling or downgrading a subscription is done from the Stripe Billing Portal ("Manage billing"), the same place you manage payment details — there's no separate in-app cancel button.
If canceling or downgrading puts your active room count over your new plan's Room Quota, SprintBee opens a 7-day grace period. Nothing happens to any room immediately — you get 7 days to bring your active room count down to the new quota yourself (for example, by archiving rooms you don't need from the Dashboard).
If rooms are still over the limit when the 7-day grace period ends, SprintBee automatically archives your least-recently-active rooms down to the quota. Archived rooms are never deleted — their history, queue, and settings are preserved, they just become read-only and stop counting against your quota.
To get an archived room back, either upgrade again (or otherwise get back under quota) and unarchive it from the Dashboard, or free up quota by archiving/deleting another room first.
- Grace period: 7 days from the point an account goes over quota.
- What's archived: the least-recently-active rooms first, only as many as needed to reach the new quota.
- What's preserved: room id, queue, session history, and settings — archived rooms are read-only, not deleted.
- Reactivation: unarchive from the Dashboard once the account has room in its quota again.
Annual vs. monthly
Pro is available monthly ($19/month) or annually ($189/year). You can switch between them anytime from Billing; the change takes effect on your next billing cycle. Add-on Rooms bill on whichever interval your Pro subscription is already on — annual Add-on Room pricing is available at checkout alongside the monthly rate shown in the Billing tab.
